| What's New in Bolosan? |
| April 28,2008 -Summer Ministries As I write this...sweat is dripping off me! There are no words to describe Summer time in the Philippines. It is dry, humid and leaves you breathless at times. Thankfully, the Lord is helping us to beat the heat, and stay busy for Him. Summer runs from March - May here,so school is out and the kids are everywhere! We used to have one day of Bible Club every week, but we had more than 100 kids, and it was hard to minister to each one. Thanks to the hard work of our teen girls, we now have 4 Bible clubs going on. 2 in different areas of Bolosan,and 2 in neighboring villages. We hold the clubs in different homes, where each meeting has around 25-30 kids, with many parents coming too! |

| Please be in prayer as we win these little ones and their families for the Lord. Also, for our Annual VBS, which runs from May 12-16 here at our church. We want to make this summer shine for the Lord! |

Other Updates
| All summer, Lighthouse Baptist has focused on the Great Commission. All of Ferd's sermons, Bible lessons and our activities have challenged and pushed our folks to get active in winning our community completely for the Lord, as well as gear them up for our next church plant. We have zeroed in on an unreached area and are already making contact with the locals there. We need to find a meeting place, whether to set up our tent or a place to rent. |
| Prayer Needs 1. New Church Plant - safety and acceptance in the new barangay (village) 2. Summer ministries and outreaches at LBC 3. New Converts at LBC- Ferd is currently discipling 5 new converts weekly 4. God will give us needed refreshment and encouragement |
